Amanda Davis Carreon is a Gainesville native. She is the fourth generation in her family to be in the furniture and design industry. Her mother, Jerome Davis, owned a wonderful furniture store, The Glen Addie Collection, for most of Amanda’s childhood and Amanda always enjoyed setting up the vignettes and organizing the warehouse.  It was at her mother’s furniture store where Amanda realized she had a passion for working with people, making beautiful spaces, and improving the functionality of every space she worked on.

After a wonderful childhood in Gainesville, Amanda, moved to Louisiana to attend Louisiana State University. She was awarded a full tuition scholarship in music and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education. She teaches privately and works as an Enrichment Teacher at Ft. Clarke Middle School and Buchholtz High School. Amanda is also the director of the Gainesville Flute Ensemble. The flute ensemble has been recognized at both the state and national level. Amanda’s music background instilled in her, attention to detail and dedication to making each project as perfect as possible.

In college and after graduation Amanda worked for Chico’s, FAS, (a high end women’s clothing store) as the assistant store manager and found her love of fashion. With the family business in the furniture and design industry, her experience in the fashion industry, and her passion for functional and beautiful spaces led her to her start a custom closet business, A Divine Closet.  For many years Amanda worked alongside Jerome at her Interior Decorating business, Jerome H. Davis Interiors, until her retirement in 2016 and now Amanda runs both A Divine Closet and Jerome H Davis Interiors.

Amanda is very active in the community and believes it is very important to give back to the community that supports her.  She is a member of the women’s Auxiliary for Children’s Home Society – Mid Florida Division a charity that benefits abused and neglected children of Gainesville and surrounding counties as well as aiding in adoption services, and preventative care.  For three years in a row she was the Auction Chair for Puttin' on the Ritz, the largest fundraising event for CHS.

Amanda enjoys spending time between jobs making memories with her husband, Jaime and daughter, Isabella Rose.
